Rounding the Buoy, 1945

William Hoffman (1920-2011) is arguably the most renowned 20th century American sea and landscape artist who's prints are for sale on at other sites and in galleries for £50-£100 each. This is a very rare opportunity to obtain an original signed works in gouache (a type of watercolour but with thicker pigment) on canvas. The paintings 'Rounding the Buoy' is both dated 1945 and is finely worked with fine detailing. The painting measures 28.5 cm x 21 cm. We are also offering a similar work by Hoffman again dated 1945 and they would make a lovely pair.
