About Vidal Toteyo
Abstract artist working in acrylic. Architectural education and work as a designer allowed the artist to approach painting freely and create his own painting technique. During fifteen years of artistic exploration, Vidal's works evolved from expressive works strongly dependent on primitive art to a new aesthetics of creation related to informel.
The sense of space and depth in Vidal's paintings is achieved thanks to various textures, which often give the works an almost sculptural form. The images consist of many interacting layers, which gives surprising optical effects. Paintings are multi-colored surfaces shimmering with iridescent and metallic reflections of light. The multi-layer nature of Vidal's works emphasizes the changes that took place on the canvas with the application of each subsequent layer. Each painting is a story, multi-threaded and complicated.
The artist presented his works at exhibitions and art salons in Poland, Spain and France. He is an active member of the IAXAI group.
