About George Barris

Barris first met Marilyn in 1954 on the set of 'The Seven Year Itch', and they two become firm friends. This photo, originally shot on July 13th, 1962, was part of Marilyn's last photo assignment before her tragic and premature death on August 5th, 1962.

'When I first saw her (Marilyn), I thought she was the most beautiful, fantastic person I'd ever met. She completely knocked me off my feet!-George Barris'
