In 1998/99 a song by Eiffel 65 titled Blue (Da Ba Dee) became an international hit. I remember that song well, and after I painted this small blue abstract, I began to sing the lyrics of that song.
I've always liked Blue, and the chorus of Da Ba Dee Da Ba Die. Though the singer is speaking of a man, his girlfriend and his life which are all blue, there is a happiness in the feel of the song.
Blue is my second favourite colour, and the song and this little painting both make me smile. The title of this work is a lyric in the song, and it seemed appropriate.
Small abstract work on paper, framed and ready to hang.
Small paper work that can be hung in whatever orientation that you choose. Image will appear differently depending on which way that you hang it. Consider the image as I display it, then rotate 90 degrees and look at it again. Find the orientation that speaks to you. This is part of the joy of abstract painting.
My signature appears on the front of the work and my Certificate of Authenticity is included.
