Marina's Dreams
OurExpert's
Perspective
What if everything in this world is interconnected, the dreams, the voices, the water and earth? What if you could get past your immediate perception of subjectivity and dive into the original state of the universe, where a sea of neutrons, protons, photons and electrons are forming stars. Right in your hand all the elements of existence, stardust of androgynous, liquid vapid people, who wouldn't be here if stars didn't explode. And suddenly you look calm, burned by air, burned by light, only to be devoured by the giant family.
Marina Korenfeld's art is an endless quest to interpret the mysterious world we live in and thus she has developed her own unique philosophical style that goes beyond what is apparent on paper. She uses profound symbolism in her themes, deriving from global legends and mythology. The Hindu deities for instance, are often portrayed with multiple arms, especially when they are battling cosmic forces. Whilst the figure of half-woman, half-bird Sirin personifies the romantic idea that happiness emerges in the act of Creation.
This artist is a visual alchemist, following a mystical Blue Bird to identify Happiness and delving unconditionally into the enigmas of the self only to stretch the boundaries of knowledge, perception and egoism. "Things aren't exactly what they seem", sings the secret flying girl, I'm talking to you, I'm talking to you, let's recreate something or someone new, using magic as a point of view. I'm human, I'm real, I'm a flaming sword but now my hands are chasing angels in every single of your pause. You are the centre of it all, a silver glowing Emotion of half-mechanism, half-ghost and maybe more.
