Wave, 2023

The painting evokes a sense of serene drama, as it depicts a sea wave gracefully caressing the shore on a cloudy day.

The overcast sky casts a soft diffused light over the painting, creating a calm, yet taciturn atmosphere.

A huge wave occupies the centre of the scene, with its deep greenish-blue tone contrasting with the paler tones of the sea. The wave seems frozen in time, on the verge of breaking, showing a delicate balance between its strength and its fragility. When it touches the shore, the crest of the wave curves gracefully and a frothy white mane crowns its top.
