“Dark the Night” is an ethereal abstract seascape oil painting 61cm x 76cm (24 x 30 inches) on 4cm (1.5 inch) deep canvas.

Inspired by looking at the sea at night when the moonlight shines light on the waves in stripes.

The title is from "Dark the Night" by Sandy Denny

It's painted in shades of grey with black and white with a hint of blue. The surface of the painting has a satin sheen and the painting continues around the sides of the canvas.
