Seated Dancer, 1979

I apply the pastel in successive layers to achieve a soft structure with some areas having a more robust textured element. I use artists hogs hair brushes to manipulate some of the work to give it density. The work is applied on a Superior Studland coloured board, as I like the rigidity and fine surface.

Finally, the pastel is fixed to protect it and the work only needs framing to make it ready to hang and should be framed under glass with a mount.
