About this artwork

An acrylic work on unmounted canvas. I had leftovers of red colour in different shades so I decided to fill a canvas with this imagined rose. Flowers are a recurrent subject. They allow me to play around with shapes and colours in a freer way. Many times when I am stuck with a work, I try to loosen up by switching to flowers.
