Artlimes is the marketplace that brings art and design into peoples lives. We are a tech company with an artistic mindset and offer our users the most personalised experience for buying and selling art online.
Can I buy or sell artworks?
Yes! Artlimes enables artists, art dealers, galleries and collectors to sell Original paintings, limited edition prints, jewellery, sculpture, design items and other artwork to collectors and first-time Buyers.
Why sell on Artlimes?
With the lowest rates on the market, our platform allows sellers to maximise their returns quickly and efficiently while offering buyers the ability to purchase originals, editions with custom framing, tracking, multiple currencies and many other features, all on the same platform.
How does Artlimes select its Sellers?
Our curators are constantly searching for the best and the most inspiring artists and galleries from around the world, in an effort to make them a part of the Artlimes community.
Who are Verified Sellers?
Verified Sellers on Artlimes have provided a valid government ID and date of birth. By becoming an Artlimes verified seller your payments are secured and your Buyers are offered the trust they need when purchasing collectibles. We take fraud very seriously and are working very hard to combat fraud in the artworld by using advanced technology.
What does Artlimes charge?
Artlimes is the marketplace with lowest commission in the world of art and design. For details on commissions and fees please read How to Become a Seller.
What are Editions by Artlimes?
In a mission to make art available to everyone, Artlimes offers high quality Limited Edition Prints of Originals on Fine Art paper or canvas, along with a Certificate of Authenticity provided to all Buyers. Sellers can now maximise their returns by offering prints of their Original artworks or photography with no extra cost outlay.
All Editions are printed in high resolution up to 300dpi resolution (up to 14200 px).
What happens to my Editions when I sell?
Once an Edition is sold, you cannot replace the product image as well as change several product details once an edition is sold.
You can always stop selling an edition, but cannot reset its total editions, as we keep track of the edition numbers for your buyers.
You can unlock more Edition options if you upload a higher resolution image.
What framing services do you offer?
You can frame any Edition purchased through Artlimes. Our frames come in a variety of colours and finishes. When framing Editions, you can choose between Glass or Acrylic UV for the front of the frame.
Frames are available for both Canvas and Print Editions by Artlimes.
What options do I have for Shipping?
Sellers are free to choose the carrier of their choice for shipping, this way they can control pricing and delivery options. We strongly advise Sellers to choose an option that offers trackable shipment to secure safe delivery and returns.
How do I set up my Shipping prices?
Each product has a separate shipping profile which is set up when uploading a new product for sale. Sellers can preselect the cost of shipping according to destination and sizing of product.
Why is the total price different?
All products on Artlimes are listed with shipping price included. Therefore, buyers have a clear idea of what they are charged for in advance. The total price of a product consists of the price you set for the product plus the shipping cost according to the destination of the shipment. Shipping is calculated by continent, so it's best to approximate how much packaging and shipping would cost for sending your product Nationally and then Internationally.
How do I notify a buyer that the order is shipped?
Once, your order is shipped, go to the Order article and add the tracking URL and tracking ID to the specific order profile. This information will become available to buyers via email and their purchase profile page.
Can I track my shipments?
Yes! Buyers go to Profile > Purchases and click on the tracking number under your order to track any shipment.
How do I track my order?
After completing your order go to Profile > Purchases. There you can find a history of all the orders you've purchased, with the tracking number of your most recent pending order.
What payment methods does Artlimes accept?
Our platform accepts VISA, American Express, Discover, Mastercard and JCB credit cards.
Where can I find the routing number for the bank account information?
Bank routing number or routing transit number (RTN) is a nine digit number used to identify financial institution in a transaction.
You can find your routing/transit number on the bottom of each of your checks next to the number of your checking account and check number.
If you only have 8 digits, add a zero in front.
When do Sellers get paid?
Payouts take 3-10 working days to become available and are wired Monday to Friday automatically into your bank account as soon as your shipment is set to delivered by the carrier.
Certificate of Authenticity
A Certificate of Authenticity is an official document that proves the product sold by Sellers is genuine and authentic. It proves a work’s details such as title, measurements, quality, artist, provenance, and certifies to Buyers that it is produced by the artist and no one else. Ideally, all artworks and collectibles should be accompanied by one.
Artlimes offers the means for Sellers to upload their own certificates, but doesn’t deal with verifying the authenticity of the artworks directly.

Artists, Art Galleries, Art Dealers and Collectors are all welcome to sell on Artlimes.
How can I become a Seller?
That’s easy! Just click on Become a Seller.
Make your Shop stand out
Start by uploading high quality images of your best work. You can only upload one image per product so make it worth it.
It is important to make sure that your artwork is cropped correctly and that there are no visible reflections on the glass of the frame. Our walkthrough will help you add all the required information about your artwork. We highly suggest you include additional information about the concept behind your artwork and a good biography, highlighting what makes you special. Buyers want to know what they buy.
Is there a subscription fee for listing my work?
Artlimes is free to use, so feel free to upload as many products as you like.
I can’t see my country, can I sell on Artlimes?
We currently support banking in 41 countries. Your shop however can be anywhere in the world, as long as your bank is located into one of these 36 countries:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Switzerland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States.
The next countries to be released are:
India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Czech Republic, Japan, Brazil, Malaysia and Mexico.
Should I include VAT in my prices?
You should check with your local tax authority. If you are registered for VAT, then your prices should include VAT. Any applicable VAT rates can be checked directly on the European Commission's website.
Should I provide an invoice?
As a Seller on Artlimes you are required to provide your Buyers with a receipt or invoice for their purchase. Artlimes provides Buyers with a verification of sale for Original items and a VAT receipt for Editions certified by Artlimes.
