About Geert Lemmers Fine Photo Art and paintings

In addition to the prints on Dibond or acrylic glass that I offer for photographic art and mixed media works, I can now also offer all these works as prints on canvas framed in black or clear frames for the same price. All these prints are produced by Whitewall.

My paintings are, of course, all unique. My photo and new media works usually have an edition of a maximum of 8 pieces per artwork, but some selected works are sold as unique (maximum 1 copy). You can discuss the design and size with me at any time. It is important to me that you are completely satisfied. Given the interest from galleries and museums, I would have to set the prices much higher, but I think reaching you as a collector / lover of good art is more important than making money.

About this photograph

A sprawling urban landscape unfolds in a monochromatic haze. The composition blends the rigid geometry of skyscrapers with the raw energy of the street. High-rise towers pierce a moody sky. Below them, a dense layer of rooftops reveals a different reality. Graffiti tags dance across concrete surfaces. These chaotic scribbles contrast with the sterile lines of the corporate horizon.

The artwork employs a sophisticated mix of photography and collage. The use of mixed media on plexiglass adds depth and a contemporary sheen. This technique creates a surreal atmosphere where the city feels like a living organism. It is a study of contrasts. The artist explores the tension between polished facades and the hidden, gritty layers of human existence.

The perspective draws the viewer from the detailed foreground into a misty, distant skyline. Every surface is saturated with visual information. It evokes a sense of a modern wonderland. The image captures the intersection of architectural order and urban rebellion. A soft, sepia-toned palette unifies the diverse elements. The result is a haunting vision of a metropolis defined by its contradictions and its layered history.
