Wisteria on a Sunlit Wall, Óbidos, 2023

A sunlit corner of Óbidos, Portugal, where cascading wisteria softens the white and ochre walls of a traditional house. The textured façade, tiled roof, narrow cobbled lane and trailing purple blossoms create a scene that feels both distinctly Portuguese and quietly timeless.
I photographed this view for the contrast between the delicate flowers and the aged architecture, then edited the image to give it a softer, more atmospheric finish while preserving the warmth of the light and the character of the original setting.
Part of my Portugal photography collection, this work focuses on the small architectural details, colour and sense of place found in historic towns throughout the country.
