Born in Gloucester, UK.

I suspect, like most figurative artists, I find drawing and painting the human form wholly embedded in human behaviour.

About this artwork

While cliff walking in Cornwall and taking lunch at Dead Man's Cove, this Herring Gull squatted very close to us. Unlike other gulls who have dive bombed me for food, this bird patiently waited for us to finish. I was able to study it over lunch and wanted to pare back this painting to show only the essence of a gull.
