KHARKIV, 2022

The work presents a dense abstract composition, constructed from masses of black, brown, and gray that gather at the center and open out toward the lighter edges. Brushstrokes, glazes, and drips of pink, red, and turquoise crisscross the surface, while curved lines and clean strokes in orange, white, and black introduce a graphic tension. The paint alternates between opaque areas and transparent passages.
