"Evgeniya Zolotareva is a CZ-based fine art artist, specializing in abstract art. She finished art school and earned an MgA. of Arts degree at the university in 2006. Her artwork should have the opportunity to "speak for itself" and does not need a decorative frame, but free space. She tends to create a dynamic abstraction which gravitates towards. The shapes of her paintings are often in tension and trembling, they need to expand further. Her paintings are focused on emotions and intuition, understanding shapes and colours, which are shown throughout the creative process. She sees every project as a unique exploration of curiosity and experimentation".

About this artwork

Original painting on stretched canvas named "Dreams of Mallorca".
Dimensions: 90 cm x 70 cm
Artwork has been painted by hand on high-quality cotton canvas and is delivered stretched on a wooden frame. Sides are painted black.
Colors: Grey, Lilac, Blue, Beige, Light Pink, Yellow, Turquoise, Moco Brown.
Painting is signed on the front and back. The work is shipped on stretched canvas. The artwork is perfect for neutral, light and dark coloured contemporary interiors.
How to describe what you see from an impression or some picture in your mind? If anyone painted the same impression or memory, the result would be a very different artwork. I tried to paint mine.
Textures, shapes, effects and colour combinations could help and turned out in such a way that, piece by piece, it started to remind me of something physical. Very interesting textures tell the story of an emotional condition. The forms, like waves caressing the shore, and the blue colours evoke the sea and sky. The painting technique is a bit reminiscent of Gogh's "Starry Night", but unintentionally.
The painting is protected by a professional varnish to preserve the surface and keep the colours bright.
