Oranges on the Cobblestones in Óbidos, Portugal, 2020

A vibrant street scene photographed in Óbidos, Portugal, where bright oranges are piled high in weathered wooden barrels along a traditional Portuguese calçada street. I photographed and then edited the image to bring out the contrast between the vivid citrus tones, aged wood, and patterned stone pavement.
The scene captures a simple but memorable detail of everyday life in one of Portugal’s most historic towns. The warm colour and rustic textures make this photograph especially suited to kitchens, dining areas, cafés, and Mediterranean-inspired interiors.
