About Ken Hong Leung (H. Leung)
Ken H Leung was born on May 14, 1933, in Guangzhou, China. Blessed with an artistic disposition from a very young age, he became a self-taught artist, putting his creative thoughts onto a canvas. By the time he was 16, he decided to move to Hong Kong to get involved in the city's artistic community. His unique approach to his oil paintings, which focused on the majestic beauty of nature while highlighting a depth of field, received attention early on, which led to his first paintings being displayed in the Hong Kong Gallery in 1960.
It was in 1968 that he founded the Leung Gallery in Kowloon at the Marian Hotel Plaza. Over the next 10 years, his artworks received the admiration of art connoisseurs worldwide. However, it was the appeal his artworks had on greetings, calendars, and art prints that made him a household name.
