Deer are often seen as spiritual harbingers or guides. The painting style is semi-abstract Art Nouveau and was simply inspired by the thrill I personally get when I walk from an ancient English wood into a light-filled clearing. It is often magical, and I often feel as if a revelation is about to happen. I am not sure of the basis of that feeling, but I am not alone in finding nature quite magical and woodland walking quite therapeutic!
