The Shapeshifter is a semi-abstract bluebell wood painting with a tiny roe deer appearing in a distant sunlit clearing. It is 36 x 36 x 1.5 inches. This painting was inspired by an April bluebell wood walk in Sussex. It was late afternoon, and the sun was casting dappled light through the trees and into the abundance of bluebells and the greenery beneath them. I saw a small roe deer in a clearing to my right, delicately stepping through the long grass of a small bright green meadow. Unusually, she did not spot me, so I stayed still and watched her. It is called The Shapeshifter, as I could almost believe she was a fairy in disguise. Painted on deep-edge canvas, with blue-green edges; ready to hang and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
