About Phil Pierre
As a self-taught fine artist, I have come to find increasing depth and meaning in the fact that no matter how often I attempt simple repetition, it can never be achieved. Every mark I make is unique in its abstract, randomised placement. The subtle vibration within the juxtaposed colour frequencies speaks to me simultaneously of a visceral chaos and a natural harmonic. It excites me greatly to be able to pour, spill, brush and splatter this internal apparent contradiction onto the external world, and to have the inherent patterns and beauty I often find there appreciated by another living being.
