About Natalia Shchipakina

1Exhibition

Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques, oil painting is my favourite.

Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by famous artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan and Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.

About this artwork

Barcelona here is not painted as it is, but as it feels to me — full of movement, light, and imagination. I let the architecture shift and soften, allowing familiar forms to blend with something more fluid and alive under a swirling sky. Oil on canvas. Signed and varnished.
