About Vio Valova
Vio is a contemporary artist based in the south of the Netherlands. She works across painting, drawing and sculpture, creating poetic visual narratives inspired by everyday observations, travel, memory and imagination.
Her work balances humour and melancholy, combining recognisable elements with subtle absurdity and symbolism. Ordinary people, animals, objects and fleeting encounters become starting points for stories that explore human behaviour, belonging, vulnerability and the quiet drama of daily life.
