Artwork
Novus Belator, a loose Latin translation of 'New Warriors'. Two javelin throwers in Adidas tracksuits striking a pose reminiscent of Italian Renaissance battle murals. "Battle of San Romano" by Paolo Uccello is an example.
Painted in traditional oil paint on a stretched canvas. The flesh areas are loose oil washes with opaque pigment for the tracksuits etc. The work has been finished with protective varnish. This not only protects the painting but also has a unifying effect. The work only needs framing to make it ready to hang, or it can be hung frameless.Certified limited edition fine art prints.

Choose the artwork. We handle the edition.
Each print is made to order, framed with care and linked to its Artlimes digital certificate.
For our prints we use Enhanced Matte Art (EMA) 200gsm, natural white paper. A premium quality heavyweight fine art print material with a smooth, clean finish. This museum-quality paper is extremely consistent and works perfectly with large, full colour graphics or illustrations. The matte finish emphasises different highlights and tones in the source artworks; helping to create stunning works of art with the detail and vibrancy they deserve.
Our Classic frames are made from high-quality wood with clean lines. The profile measures 20mm across the front and 22mm in depth. Available finishes depend on the selected print.
Our standard white mounts are 2.4mm thick. The mount border is 25mm, 38mm or 50mm wide, depending on the frame size. All mounts are conservation grade, FSC certified and 100% acid free.
Our canvas prints are stretched and framed using a 12-colour Giclée process; providing you with spectacular quality each and every time.
