"Sunlight Woodland Impressions" conveys a serene yet vibrant woodland. Sunlight filters through the trees, creating shadows over the forest floor, while the bright tones of green and lilac shimmer, inviting the viewer to wander along the forested trail and reflect upon the quietude and harmony. It's an escape into a softer, more peaceful world and will infuse any space with tranquillity and inspiration.

An original, one-of-a-kind artwork, this painting has been created with high-quality acrylic paints on deep-edged canvas. I begin with observation of the place, making notes and taking photographs to work from in the studio. From these beginnings, I work intuitively, painting some base layers with a brush and then applying impasto techniques layer upon layer with a palette knife, harnessing optical mixing techniques employed by the Impressionists. I continue working until the painting reaches a natural conclusion.

The painting continues around the sides. A frame is not needed, and it is ready to hang.
