I have recently come to know for sure that I too am surrounded and influenced by unrest, and that is why it feels like a form of meditation to once again create calm, sensitive, meditative works that I hope give viewers a good feeling.
In my latest paintings I try to convey to you, the viewers, the feelings I have and notice while painting and composing the works.
I achieve the compositions, and especially the colour nuances, by working layer by layer until I reach a point where I am satisfied, while also knowing that my painting is not finished.
I hope to give the works of art a story together with the viewers that can be different for every viewer or buyer.
Geert received the Visual Art Master Award in Lecce, Italy, from Accademia Italia in Arte nel Mondo Association Cultural and won several prizes.
