The Unknown Universe I, 2025

Acrylic paint, oil paint and pastels on preprocessed canvas in a wooden frame.

Return to simplicity and tranquillity.

I have recently come to realise that I, too, am surrounded and influenced by unrest. That is why it feels like a form of meditation to once again create calm, sensitive, meditative works that I hope give viewers a good feeling.

In my latest paintings, I try to convey to viewers the feelings I experience while painting and composing the works.

I achieve the compositions, and especially the colour nuances, by working layer by layer until I reach a point where I am satisfied, while also knowing that my painting is never truly finished.

I hope to give each work of art a story together with the viewer, one that can be different for every viewer or buyer.
