Resilience is a large white oil painting of a white deer stag in a frozen winter landscape. It is 40x40x1. 5inches. The stag stands in his white landscape with the hint of mountains, glaciers, ice and snow around him. He is mostly white against different shades of white and grey. The paint has been applied impasto style (thickly) which adds to the imposing presence of the stag and the conditions in which he has to survive. It is called resilience for the obvious reason that deer, especially red deer, have to be tough to survive in Scotland and the other places that they live.
