The River Monarch

The River Monarch is a vibrantly coloured oil painting of a kingfisher by a river. It is 36 x 30 x 1.5 inches. The kingfisher sits on a semi-transparent branch, and behind her you see a river lined with pink flowers and green trees. Veils of transparent gold overlap the bird and the background in places, giving the painting the feeling that something is in transition. I often paint kingfishers as I find them breathtakingly gorgeous, and though I rarely see them, it always feels as if I have been privy to a bit of precious magic when I do. Painted on deep-edge canvas, light blue-white edges, ready to hang, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
