Man/clown realising that he still has his hat on while taking off his chequered top - Merriam-Webster definition of the word imbroglio: an acutely painful or embarrassing misunderstanding. Painted in traditional oil paint on a stretched canvas. The work has been finished with protective varnish. This not only protects the painting but has a unifying effect. The work only needs framing to make it ready to hang, or it can be hung frameless because it is painted around the edges.
