This painting portrays a fox named Fidge, sitting calmly on a log with an attentive yet peaceful expression. Fidge’s story is a reminder of the challenges wildlife faces in a human-dominated world. Orphaned at a young age, Fidge and his siblings became dependent on local residents for food. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, he was fatally struck by a car while crossing a road in search of sustenance.

This artwork invites reflection on our relationship with nature and the impact of human activity on wildlife. It is both a tribute to Fidge and a gentle prompt to consider how we might better protect and coexist with animals in their changing environments.
