About this artwork

This series brings together two important parts of my artistic journey — my early years painting graffiti in the streets and my work today as an artist.

When I paint these city scenes with aerosol paint, I experience the same feeling I had years ago when I was painting graffiti on the streets. The sound of the can, the movement of the hand and the way the paint builds up on the surface bring back that same freedom and energy.
