Stone Cathedral of the Sea

Inspired by the dramatic cliffs of Playa de Las Catedrales on Spain’s northern coast, this painting captures one of the natural arches sculpted by centuries of wind and Atlantic waves. The massive rock formation rises like a cathedral portal above the shoreline. The scene evokes the powerful beauty of Galicia’s coastline, which resembles the arches and vaults of ancient buildings. Canvas. Oil. Signed and varnished.
