About Natalia Shchipakina

1Exhibition

Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques, oil painting is my favourite.

Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by famous artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan and Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso.

About this artwork

This is the next painting in my series of works dedicated to the cities of the world. A special feature of the series is the combination of bright colours and bold dark tones. In addition, all the paintings in this series are made using a special modern technique. One thing remains unchanged — I used natural oil and canvas.
