He is one of the most remarkable emerging sculptors of the new artistic scene in Spain. He has taken part in more than 60 exhibitions, in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, and has won several prizes. His metallic work wanders around the idea of the sacred. He gets his inspirations from classical forms that he combines with modernity through a simplification exercise. One can sense the influence of great contemporary sculptors such as Noguchi, Chillida, Julio González and Richard Serra.

Canduela’s work, in welded metal sheets, is an outstanding pledge to sculptural quality, to good workmanship and to attention to detail.

About this sculpture

The cubic spaces series is developed in welded and painted steel and mounted on a stone base.
The sculptures in this series play with individual cubic pieces that create a single sculptural space when assembled. The game of rotations, movements and assembly generates a complex shape with a great variety of points of view, with many nuances and nooks and crannies.
This collection of sculptures is presented as a series of 10 unique units, numbered and signed by the author.
The vividness of colour, with which the sculptures are presented, transports us to contemporary architecture, industrial manufacturing or avant-garde design, if we move away from the sculptural point of view. The challenge, which these pieces aim to achieve, is to combine all these visions without perverting any of them.
All sculptures are handmade and may differ slightly from the photo.

Our Classic frames are made from high-quality wood with clean lines. The profile measures 20mm across the front and 22mm in depth. Available finishes depend on the selected print.

Mount

Our standard white mounts are 2.4mm thick. The mount border is 25mm, 38mm or 50mm wide, depending on the frame size. All mounts are conservation grade, FSC certified and 100% acid free.

Canvas

Our canvas prints are stretched and framed using a 12-colour Giclée process; providing you with spectacular quality each and every time.
