This piece is contrasted not only by the acrylic and oil mediums, but also by the bold structures against the negative space. The colour palette is mature and deep. The streaking, brick-like colours have almost a comic-book-style quality to them and the unique surface texture makes the colours pop even more out at the viewer. These bold, brick-like structures also continue onto the edges of this canvas to frame the piece as well as add an additional three-dimensional design quality.
