Mountain Lake in Autumn Colors, 2026

Mountain Lake in Autumn Colors was painted when the landscape was beginning to move from green into the warmer colours of autumn. Close to the water, tall grasses and dense vegetation contain yellow, gold, olive and rusty red among the remaining greens. The lake is much quieter in colour, reflecting fragments of the surrounding trees and the pale, cloud-filled sky. In the distance, the mountain changes the palette again. Its blue and violet tones create a cool background for the warmer vegetation around the lake. I wanted the viewer to feel close to the shore, almost among the grasses, with the eye moving naturally across the water toward the mountain. Original oil on canvas, 50 × 60 cm, 2026. Shipping from Poland. The painting can be shipped either rolled in a tube or stretched on stretcher bars, as agreed with the buyer. Please contact us to discuss the details.
