He is one of the most remarkable emerging sculptor of the new artistic scene in Spain, he has done more than 60 expos, exhibited in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany and Holland, and won several prizes. His metallic work wanders about the idea of the sacred. He gets the inspirations from classic forms that he puts together with modernity through a simplification exercise. One can sense the influence of great contemporary sculptors such as Noguchi, Chillida, Julio González or Richard Serra.

Canduela’s work, in metallic welded sheets, is an outstanding pledge on the sculptural quality, on the well-done job and on the attention of the details.

About this Sculpture

This series worked with the superposition of steel plates, cut, welded and blued in black. The goal is to achieve a habitable interior space.

Emulating the architectural principles of space and habitability with the assembly of perpendicular planes and the opening of holes, we intend to simulate a contemporary building and structure the space contained within it. The play of superimposed panels and intersecting planes opens up an interior space delimited not only by the steel plates but also by the light that penetrates them through the gaps.

Prints

For our prints we use Enhanced Matte Art (EMA) 200gsm, natural white paper. A premium quality heavyweight fine art print material with a smooth, clean finish. Frames

Our frames are created from high-quality wood, milled with simple clean lines and presented with a satin finish. This frame has a square profile measuring 20mm (front face) by 23mm (depth from wall). Available in black, white and brown.

Mount

Our Snow White standard mounts are available at depth of 1.4mm. All mounts are "conservation grade", FSC certified, 100% acid free, and will not discolour or fade with age.

Canvas

Our canvas prints are stretched and framed using a 12-colour Giclée process; providing you with spectacular quality each and every time.
