About this artwork

I was born and still live in the famous Valley of Roses. Raised under the iconic symbol of the rose, I pretty much believe that I have rose oil running in my veins. It is true that I just adore the rose blooms. I love the month of June when my town is bathed in roses and their charming scent. I have 17 rose bushes in my own garden - Gorgeous majestic creatures! I see them as living, breathing and feeling beings.

I dedicate to them a series of paintings expressing the feelings each rose-bloom colour evokes and symbolises.

This original oil painting is made on stretched cotton canvas. Size: 66 x 86 cm. Depth: 2 cm. The canvas is gallery-wrapped and painted on the sides, so the painting can be hung as it is without a frame if preferred.
