Some Days Are Purple, 2024

If you ask me what colour winter is to me, I would say purple. Very often, especially in the evening hours, the air is glowing in rose-violet to purple hues. And this makes the landscape views so magical, surreal. The water surfaces have the greatest colours during winter, too. They can be dark, saturated, seem like they are thinking over a serious question. I love their contrast with the snow-covered ground.

This original oil painting is made on stretched cotton canvas. Size is 40 x 40 cm. Depth 1 cm. The canvas is gallery-wrapped and painted on the sides, so the painting can be hung as it is without a frame if preferred.
