Monochrome tonal study.

The painting uses an extreme tonal range to capture her form, pose and emotion in a subtle way. I have left a lot to the viewer's imagination for their own interpretation.

If I'd filled it all in, the background, less-important parts would compete with the focal points here.

The eye is drawn to the highlights and the brain (having been given enough clues) fills in the gaps.
