Drawing a Line, 2018

In this painting I have spent the last few months going through loss, giving a lot of time to feelings and the journey we're all on. I have used the paint to build layers of the time, and each successive layer adds to the story. This is a self-portrait of evaluation and discovery. Do you see the artist's hand drawing in the top right? The artist is contemplating in the centre and then being lost in a crowd. There are many people in this painting ... friends and ghosts. This painting signifies new beginnings ... who knows if I will continue down the abstract path, but I'm really pleased with this one.
