Artist

About Aleksandr Dubrovskyy

Mr Aleksandr Dubrovskyy was born in 1949 in Oryneno, Khmelnytsky Oblast, Ukraine.
He started painting early. Painting was his most favoured occupation, beyond all usual boyish interests and activities.
At seven he was admitted to the art school for children in Yenakiieve; at 16, Aleksandr entered Kharkiv College of Art (1965).

In 1969, after graduating from the College of Art, he travelled a lot and worked assiduously on portrait and landscape painting.
His continuing work at the academic villa in Sednyov offered Aleksandr a happy and unique opportunity to work together with, and learn from, such eminent painters as Konstantyn Lomykin, Fedor Zakharov, Nikolay Glushchenko, Viktor Shatalin, and Tatyana Yablonskaya. They profoundly influenced his artistic formation. Sednyov... this marvellous nook of Ukraine became the artist’s creative workshop.

Artwork

About this artwork

Bathed in the clear light of midday, this luminous landscape celebrates the quiet abundance of nature at its most vibrant moment. A flowering hillside descends gently into the valley, where sunlight drifts across fields, trees and distant meadows. The scene feels effortless and free, as if the land itself is breathing in the warmth of a summer day.

Painted in the open air, Noon captures not a specific moment alone, but the sensation of standing within the landscape. The wildflowers shimmer in countless shades of white, lilac, gold and green, while expressive brushwork creates movement, light and atmosphere throughout the composition. Every stroke carries the freshness of the countryside and the artist's emotional response to the beauty before him.

Aleksandr Dubrovskyy transforms an ordinary rural view into a poetic meditation on harmony, light and the timeless rhythm of nature. The expansive perspective invites the viewer to wander through the meadow, follow the contours of the land and experience the calm confidence of a summer afternoon.

This original oil painting is an excellent choice for collectors of impressionist landscapes, plein-air painting and nature-inspired fine art. Its radiant palette and uplifting atmosphere bring warmth, elegance and a sense of freedom to any collection or interior.
