The November Jewel is a semi-abstract style panoramic landscape painting of a winter river and kingfisher. It is 48x24x1.5 inches. The painting shows fields and trees on either side of a small river. The colours are white rust, salmon, lilac, brown and green contrasted with the brilliant magical blue of a small kingfisher. Vertical transparent lines add a shimmering ethereal feel to the scene which is both realistic and abstract at the same time. This painting was made after a cold winter walk along a Sussex river where I was delighted to see three kingfishers in different stretches of the river. They looked like beautiful blue jewels against the muted frosty river – hence the title. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges painted to match, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.
