About
I have retired several years ago and decided to live right here in Belen, New Mexico. I have worn many hats over the years, which left me anything but boring. I have served God on the lower east side of Manhattan for 22 years, Preaching, Teaching, and serving the down-trodden of New York at East 7th Baptist Church/Mission (the hungry, addicted, homeless, illiterate, mentally ill and jobless).
I still serve the Lord now but in a very different capacity. I've written 5 unique Christian novels and have sold many, but I'm not famous … quite yet.
I'm also a painter and sculptor for more than 20 years, however I have had to lay sculpture aside because my back is shot, after working as a master engraver for over 40 years (bending over my engraving table). Nonetheless, I have no regrets, I still paint! Being an engraver my entire working life has allowed me to provide for my family all their young lives. Now they are all grown and gone but I am in touch quite frequently.
I attended the Northeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Boston for two years, however, for obvious reasons, the Lord has now placed me on a very different Christian road because of what’s happened to the Church, which for the most part, is morally bankrupt and are slaves to deception.
My work is very bold and diverse, presenting several styles. At present my paintings are mostly prophetic, with strong messages. Visual parables if you will.
Blessings, Rick Koestler
