A stunning large-format, silver-gelatin, limited-edition print from De Dienes's famous photoshoot with Marilyn, then Norma Jeane, in 1945. The work is stamped by the photographer, verso, and is 16/16 in the limited edition series. It was originally gifted to Clark Lewis by Shirley De Dienes on 18th November, 1986.

When this photo was taken, Marilyn, then Norma Jeane, was on the books of Emile Snively's Blue Book Model Agency. De Dienes contacted the agency for a model who would pose nude. Snively recommended her latest signing, and De Dienes soon hit the road with the most delightful young woman he had ever seen. As for the nude session, Norma Jeane had other ideas!
