Russell Gilder has been a practicing artist for 20 years, having studied at the School of Fine Art in Birmingham completing the BA Fine Art Degree i3500n 1996.
He states that his art practice primarily consists of drawing, painting and printmaking, derived from the ancient woodland landscapes of England and Wales, particularly Mortimer Forest, South Shropshire.
His work has been an exploration of a twilight world that lives between the conscious and the ephemeral, a place that exists within the artist and within the countryside he explores.
