About John Hamilton Glass 1820-85
John Glass - John Hamilton Glass (1820 - 1885). Scottish painter of portraits, landscapes and horses. He was elected as a member of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1849 and he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1847 and 1859. He then went on to emigrate to Australia.
