Stag is a square semi-abstract contemporary oil painting in vibrant rainbow colours of a red deer stag. It is 30x30x1.5 inches. The inspiration for the painting was simply the intention to paint a beautiful animal. Deer feature in many of my paintings as they are elegant and ethereal. The background is abstract and the stag is emerging out of it or disappearing into to it depending on how you look at it.
