Each Subtle Portrait seems to be in a state of mysterious tension. The use of lines, spots and contrasts creates an unrealistic message, simplifies and gives the faces an abstract character. Precise manipulation of light and shadow creates mystery that leads the viewer on a journey through the space of interpretation and reflection.
Limiting the color palette to black and white focuses attention on form. The lack of color is not a limitation, but a tool for conveying meaning. Spiritual minimalism dominates in black and white forms, further emphasizing the unique character of the imaginary face.
Each stain is a sign and has its own meaning. Simple forms allow you to focus on unreal facial features, revealing emotions and hidden secrets.
