About JXC

JXC is a well known street artist from London. A graduate in graphic design from Camberwell School of Art, JXC's art takes inspiration from graffiti, street art and urban photography to create visually compelling and unique pieces. His urban, edgy and graphic style, coupled with a photographic realism and a hint of irony creates images that are both provocative and thrilling.

JXC held his first exhibition at Smithfield's Gallery, London in 2008, he has since acquired a number of high profile clients, that include; Redbull, DKNY, and Relentless Boardmasters. Most recently he completed a 95ft wall for the Laureus World Sports Awards.

About the Product

Created for a Star wars Exhibition, this stamp takes the original and gives it a modern twist.

Screen print on 300gsm paper
Edition of 30

50x40cm

Inspired by the story of the 'Inverted Jenny'; a United States postage stamp first issued on May 10, 1918; in which the image of the original airplane in the center of the design was accidentally printed upside-down. It is probably the most famous error in American philately, with only one pane of the 100 inverted stamps, ever found. Making this stamp one of the most expensive and highly prized in history.

A single Inverted Jenny was sold at a Robert A. Siegel auction in November 2007 for $977,500 USD.
